Software Setup
Using the CCMOUSE DOS Driver/Utility

1.  Download the ccmouse.exe file and expand the file by double-clicking on the file.  The following file will be extracted:

     ccmouse.com

2.  Reboot your computer directly to a DOS prompt.

3.  Be sure that your tablet is connected to a serial port and that the power is on.

4.  From the directory containing the ccmouse.com file, type <ccmouse>.

5.  You will see one of the following groups of text:

     CalComp Mouse/ADI Driver Version 10.02
     (C) Copyright CalComp Input Technologies 1997.  All rights reserved.
Driver installed; 12.00 by 12.00 inch tablet found on COM1:

     CalComp Mouse/ADI Driver Version 10.02
     (C) Copyright CalComp Input Technologies 1997.  All rights reserved.
Driver not installed -- CalComp Tablet not found

Note:  Pay attention to the text in red.  This will tell you whether or not the tablet is communicating with
the computer. The text may vary slightly depending on the type of CalComp tablet being used.

6.  If the tablet is not found, try switching COM ports and running ccmouse again.

7.  If the tablet is still not found, try running ccmouse specifically for the COM port the tablet is connected to by
using one of the following commands:

     <ccmouse /c1> (For tablets on COM1)
     <ccmouse /c2> (For tablets on COM2)

8.  If this does not work, one of the following scenarios may be true:

    a.  Another internal device may be using the same resources as the tablet.
    b.  The COM port may be defective.
    c.  The COM port may not be setup correctly in the system BIOS.  (The settings should be as follows):

COM PORT IRQ Address
1 4 3F8
2 3 2F8
3 4 3E8
4 3 2E8
